2017 was a banner year for Ivy Lane Photography. Our social media following tripled, cherished memories were immortalized for more than fifty families, and my in-home portrait studio was re-vamped and opened. I photographed a handful of weddings and booked a handful more. And I shoot more sessions in October-December than the entire nine months prior. What. A Year.
What you didn’t see behind the scenes are the many hours of photography and business education I completed: two courses, three workshops, and at least five I’ve yet to finish.
To say I have merely been busy would be a gross understatement. I have been hard at work enhancing my craft, connecting with families and kiddos, and laying the foundation for the Ivy Lane I want in the future.
So, what does the future hold? I’ve got some plans for 2018.
~ Participate in at least three wedding styled shoots.
~ Transition to an in-person client consultation/ image reveal workflow.
~ Double the number of wedding bookings for 2019.
~ Collaborate with QCA businesses to offer unique portraiture experiences.
~ And– this will be a real challenge– finish all the courses/ workshops I’m enrolled in before enrolling in more!
Personally, I’m working hard to maintain a work/ life balance, planning purposeful quality family time, and really living in the moment.
What are your goals for 2018? I can’t wait to hear them!
