When I got the call to photograph the McClintock family, I remembered the family I met with back in December of 2016. At the time, Stephanie was preparing to undergo round one of chemotherapy and had wanted pictures before she shaved her hair. I didn’t know what to expect that day, but I found a positive and and strong lady who wasn’t letting cancer faze her. And she didn’t. She was declared in cancer-free just a few months later.
Fast forward sixteen months, Stephanie and Robby welcomed baby boy Eivin into their family. This joyful event was quickly overshadowed by the discovery of cancer on the placenta. Further testing revealed cancer in Stephanie’s lungs and liver. Cancer has mounted another attack and, while scared for the future, she is prepared for this great battle once again. Thankfully, as this couple begins another round of oncology, chemotherapy, radiation, and drug cocktails, they have a strong support system to help with Eivin and the couple’s three older children.
Below are a few of my favorites from this family’s newborn lifestyle session welcoming Eivin into the family and providing Steph with new portraits of her family. Such a strong lovig young woman! Robby, clearly God has blessed you both! The journey you are on can tear your family apart BUT only if you let it. Through your faith and prayers from family and friends, all things are possible. We send our constant prayers to this young McClintock family! And always…love. I’ve heard, it has been said before: “ Never give up, never surrender!” 😘💞
