Karleigh & Jake ~ September 7, 2019

Coming to you on the blog today is Karleigh and Jake’s wedding, which is a serious contender for one of the most fun weddings I have ever had the chance to not only photograph, but to also attend.

From the time I arrived to the time I left, it was a non-stop stream of laughing, dancing, and celebrating!

These two lovebirds met ten years ago and have clearly been having the time of their lives ever since. And, as you’d expect, the bridesmaids and groomsmen were just as much fun. I mean, there are wedding parties… and then there are wedding PARTIES.

Mingling with with the uproarious events were some genuinely sweet moments, too. Two moments really stand out as special. The first was when Jake surprised Karleigh with a bracelet at their first look. She was totally not expecting it and he scored some serious romance points with that. The other was the surprise dance Karleigh had planned for her and her mom– Carrie Underwood’s “Mama’s Song.” I know I wasn’t the only one tearing up as Karleigh and Karen shared a few precious minutes on the dance floor.

Just goes to show that fun and love go together really, really well. Congrats again, Jake and Karleigh, and is it too much to ask that you put me on the invite list for any of your future get-togethers? Ha!
