Your portraits/ products

When can we expect our completed portraits and how many will there be?

The number of images in your final gallery will be approximately 50 per hour of coverage. An eight hour wedding will produce a minimum of 400 images. Oftentimes more but rarely less.

The process of culling, editing, and preparing all of these wedding day images takes up to eight weeks.

When everything is ready, I invite you to the SDP studio for your reveal celebration. There, you'll get to relive your wedding day with the best images on the television and a handful printed to take with you. You will also receive your custom USB and a link to your online gallery for sharing with family and friends.

What touch-ups do you provide standard?

I am not a PhotoShop guru, and I don't believe in misrepresenting any part of your wedding day. I won't make anyone look skinnier or younger. And I won't change the entire background of an image.

I will color-correct all final images and do limited touch-ups to the couple's portraits. Standard touch-ups include teeth whitening, eye brightening, acne removal, and stray hair removal.
More extensive editing is available on a case-by-case basis and done at an hourly rate.

what rights do I have to the digital files?

You have the right to reprint images whenever you want for personal or gifting use. However, you may not sell your images for profit or publish them within the written consent of Sarah DeMaranville Photography.

How long does it take to get our canvas/ album/ framed print?

There are a number of variables regarding delivery of ordered products. Here's what you can do to assure timely arrival--

1. Bring all decision-makers with you to your reveal/ ordering appointment.
2. Pay at least 50% down at your ordering session.
3. Promptly choose your images and approve proofs.

Beyond those three things, you're at the mercy of the shipping gods.

Do you back-up our images?

Your online gallery of high-resolution digital images will remain online for at least one year. The sheer quantity and volume of images I produce and save for clients limits long-term storage.

Re-opening or extending online galleries can be done for a small fee.

do you provide every image you shoot? What about RAW files?

My job is not only to take your wedding day portraits, but to give you the very best images from your day. I take the 3000-5000 images from your day, remove the undesirable ones, and color-correct/ edit the best.
Don't worry about missing the really important photos. I will make sure to include every part of your day in your final image gallery.

In accordance with industry standards, all files are delivered in JPG format. RAW files are only part of my work-- the sketch, if you will. The remainder of my art takes place during the editing and color-correcting process.
